DMFI PAC congratulates Phil Murphy on his election victory and Terry McAuliffe on a hard-fought campaign
Washington, D.C. (November 3, 2021) — Following last night’s gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia, DMFI PAC president, Mark Mellman, released the following statement:
“DMFI PAC is thrilled to congratulate New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy on his re-election victory. We also congratulate former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe on running a principled, hard-fought campaign. He and his team should be proud of their efforts in a difficult political climate.
“Governor Murphy is a distinguished public servant who has demonstrated exemplary leadership as governor of New Jersey. We’re confident Governor Murphy will continue to work tirelessly to advance Democratic priorities and values, which include strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship.
“DMFI PAC mobilized our supporters in New Jersey and Virginia to turn out and vote for these great Democrats and engaged our supporter across the country in GOTV efforts for both candidates in these key elections.
“Governor Murphy has made deepening his state’s ties with Israel a top priority, strengthening partnerships in education and commerce through the New Jersey-Israel Commission. Governor Murphy has been a vital voice denouncing the dangerous rise in antisemitism and ensuring his state has the resources to combat it.
“I had the privilege of traveling to Israel with Governor McAuliffe years ago and know him as a key advocate of the U.S.-Israel relationship. America needs him to continue his involvement in politics and public policy.”
