The group includes three incumbent Democratic senators in key battleground races
As the 2024 election approaches, DMFI PAC remains committed to defending the Senate’s Democratic majority and reclaiming the House majority from MAGA Republicans, whose disastrous tenure has been marred by infighting, dysfunction, and an unconscionable two-month delay of critical aid to Israel in the midst of its war with Hamas’ terrorist regime.
Today, DMFI PAC announced its endorsement of more than a dozen pro-Israel Democrats, including four incumbent senators and nine House candidates. (More endorsements will be forthcoming as Election Day nears.)
“As Israel faces powerful enemies committed to its destruction and amidst an alarming rise in virulent and vicious anti-Zionist antisemitism at home, we’re heartened by the moral clarity of this group of Democratic leaders who are committed to strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship,” said DMFI PAC Chairman Mark Mellman. “The candidates we endorsed today not only bring to bear a vast array of experiences, but they are also critical to Democrats’ efforts to hold the Senate and retake the House majority.”
“Now more than ever, it’s critical that U.S. leaders stand with Israel,” said Senator Jacky Rosen (NV). “I’m proud to have the endorsement of DMFI PAC in my reelection campaign because I will always be a bipartisan and effective pro-Israel voice in the Senate. I am committed to strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship and ensuring that we remain steadfast in our support for our closest and most important ally in the Middle East, particularly as it faces increasing threats from Iran and its terrorist proxies.”
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of DMFI PAC,” said House candidate Janelle Stelson (PA-10). “In stark contrast to my opponent, I will stand up for Israel and against antisemitism. My opponent has not been a reliable ally of Israel and has made offensive and reckless comments exacerbating the pain in the Jewish community. I look forward to working with DMFI in Congress to strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship.”
The Democratic candidates endorsed today include three incumbent senators in key battleground races, including Sens. Bob Casey (PA), Jacky Rosen (NV), and Jon Tester (MT), as well as New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. The group includes three candidates vying to flip their district from Red to Blue, including firefighter and labor leader Joe Kerr (CA-40), former Assemblymember Rudy Salas (CA-22), and Emmy Award-winning journalist Janelle Stelson (PA-10).
Today’s DMFI PAC endorsees also include six candidates running to replace retiring Democrats, including former Under Secretary of Defense Gil Cisneros (CA-31), former U.S. Commerce Department official April McClain Delaney (MD-06), State Senator Sarah Elfreth (MD-03), Assemblymember Laura Friedman (CA-30), State Representative Julie Johnson (TX-32), and Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski (MD-02).
