With many races still too close to call, it’s evident that Democrats stopped the predicted “red wave.” It’s also clear there will be a strong pro-Israel Democratic caucus in the 118th Congress.
“We’re thrilled to congratulate the pro-Israel Democrats elected to the next Congress, while looking forward to building new relationships and strengthening old ones. Under President Biden’s leadership, we’re certain the Democratic Party will continue its proud, pro-Israel tradition,” said DMFI PAC Chairman, Mark Mellman.
“This election season has shown time and time again: being pro-Israel is both wise policy and smart politics,” added Mellman.
New pro-Israel Democrats coming to the Capitol with support from DMFI PAC include John Fetterman (PA-SEN) and Emilia Sykes (OH-13), who flipped their seats from Republican to Democratic control, Seth Magaziner (RI-02), Morgan McGarvey (KY-03), Nikki Budzinski (IL-13), Kevin Mullin (CA-15), Glenn Ivey (MD-04), Robert Garcia (CA-42), Robert Menendez, Jr. (NJ-08), Valerie Foushee (NC-04), and Eric Sorenson (IL-17), among others.
In Pennsylvania, DMFI PAC undertook a six-figure direct mail program supporting Senator-elect John Fetterman’s Senate campaign which resulted in more than 400,000 pieces of mail to Pennsylvania swing voters. In Ohio’s 13th congressional district, DMFI PAC made a six-figure digital ad buy supporting Congresswoman-elect Emilia Sykes, which garnered more than 1.7 million video completions. In Illinois’ 17th congressional district, DMFI PAC helped Congressman-elect Eric Sorenson with a digital ad, which generated more than 2.2 million impressions. Each of these efforts targeted swing voters and highlighted their Republican opponents’ extreme positions.
In the general election, DMFI PAC supported 97 pro-Israel Democratic candidates who reflect the diversity of our country, will work to advance the Biden-Harris agenda, and support a strong U.S.-Israel relationship. This cycle, DMFI PAC raised more than $1 million directly for pro-Israel candidates through our donation portals. In total, DMFI PAC raised nearly $10 million to support pro-Israel candidates.
