With Democratic primaries complete, DMFI PAC proudly celebrates the victories won by 98% of its endorsed candidates who have advanced to the 2024 General Election. DMFI PAC endorsees won 104 of their 106 primary contests.
“While we’re fighting for the Harris-Walz ticket and for Democratic majorities in the House and Senate in November, we are proud to celebrate the victories of so many pro-Israel Democrats during the 2024 primary elections,” said DMFI PAC Chairman Mark Mellman. “Our efforts were critical in defeating anti-Israel Squad members and candidates who were eager to join the Squad. Our work helped secure victories for 104 pro-Israel Democratic candidates in Democratic primaries this year.”
“Even as anti-Israel activists seek to spread division, discord, and hatred, 2024 Democratic primary voters defied their demands and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that being pro-Israel is not just wise policy, but it’s also winning politics,” Mellman added.
DMFI PAC-backed candidates who advanced to the General Election and are vying for seats in Congress include Westchester County Executive George Latimer (NY-16) and St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell (MO-01), who defeated anti-Israel Squad members Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman; Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07), Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-25), and John Avlon (NY-01), who defeated anti-Israel opponents; and new pro-Israel leaders Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03), Janelle Bynum (OR-05), Rebecca Cooke (WI-03), and Laura Gillen (NY-04), among others.
In the 2024 primary election cycle, DMFI PAC and its affiliated entities spent over $5 million on extensive independent expenditure campaigns, with some 74% of those dollars supporting candidates of color.
DMFI PAC looks forward to helping ensure victories for Vice President Kamala Harris, Governor Tim Walz, and pro-Israel Democrats up and down the ballot in November.
