Following victories for DMFI PAC endorsees in tonight’s congressional primaries in Oregon and Georgia — especially State Representative Janelle Bynum in OR-05 — DMFI PAC Chairman Mark Mellman released the following statement:
“A pronounced and recurring theme has emerged this primary season: extremist, anti-Israel Democrats are in trouble. From California to Texas to Oregon, Democratic voters are rejecting Democratic candidates whose positions on the U.S.-Israel relationship lie well outside the mainstream.
“Pro-Israel, mainstream Democrat and DMFI PAC endorsee State Rep. Janelle Bynum (OR-05), for example, soundly defeated Jamie McLeod-Skinner.
“Even during this challenging time in the Middle East, State Rep. Bynum’s victory shows that being pro-Israel is not just wise policy, but it’s also winning politics.
“We also celebrate the primary victories of several DMFI PAC endorsees whom we look forward to supporting in November, including frontline Democrat Rep. Andrea Salinas (OR-06), as well as Reps. Lucy McBath (GA-07), David Scott (GA-13), and Nikema Williams (GA-05).”
