DMFI PAC today announced it will begin airing a new ad that highlights Republican Scott Taylor’s damaging record as a United States Congressman. Taylor voted to give tax handouts to corporations and against protections for those with pre-existing conditions, while two of his aides have pleaded guilty to election fraud relating to a 2018 scandal, and he and his 2018 campaign remain under investigation.
DMFI PAC endorsed his opponent, Rep. Elaine Luria, in the race for Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District. Congresswoman Luria is a Navy veteran, having reached the rank of commander during her 20-year career. In 2018, she flipped the district from red to blue, helping Democrats gain the majority in the House.
“Congresswoman Luria is a leader among her freshman House class and a fierce advocate for Virginians and for all Americans,” said DMFI PAC Chairman Mark Mellman. “She is also a strong supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship,” Mellman added. “We are thrilled to support her candidacy against a scandal-plagued Republican who would gut the Affordable Care Act.”
The six-figure ad buy will run on digital and streaming platforms in the district.
