Today, DMFI PAC announced its endorsement of State Senator Jennifer McClellan in Tuesday’s firehouse primary in Virginia’s 4th Congressional District.

“Following a conversation between our senior staff and State Sen. Jennifer McClellan, DMFI PAC is thrilled to endorse Sen. McClellan’s campaign for Congress to replace the late Rep. Donald McEachin,” said DMFI PAC Chairman Mark Mellman. “A highly regarded and effective leader, Sen. McClellan expressed her eagerness to support the Biden-Harris agenda in Congress — including her deep commitment to strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship — as well as her firm opposition to antisemitic movements like the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions (BDS) Movement that seek to delegitimize the world’s only Jewish state.”

State Sen. McClellan is an experienced and dedicated legislator and advocate, having served 17 years in Virginia’s General Assembly. If elected in the February special election, Sen. McClellan will be the first ever Black woman to represent Virginia in Congress.

Over 80% of DMFI PAC’s endorsed candidates won their races this cycle, helping bring some 20 new pro-Israel Democrats to the 118th Congress. During this cycle, DMFI PAC raised more than $1 million directly for pro-Israel candidates through its donation portals, while DMFI PAC and its affiliates raised over $12.4 million. 100% of those dollars supported pro-Israel Democrats and some 77% supported candidates of color.
