DMFI PAC is thrilled to announce its Independent Expenditure (IE) supporting Rep. Shontel Brown’s 2022 re-election campaign won the top Reed Award from Campaigns & Electionsmagazine for IE direct mail in a primary.

The Dover Group, with whom DMFI PAC partnered during the campaign, received the Reed Award for “Best Mail Piece for IE Campaign — Primary” for a mailer highlighting Nina Turner’s decision to vote against the entire Democratic Party Platform in 2020 and her divisive past statements, including comparing voting for Joe Biden to “eating half a bowl of sh*t.”

With DMFI PAC’s support, Rep. Shontel Brown roundly defeated Nina Turner in the OH-11 Democratic primary.

In addition to the Reed Award, one of DMFI PAC’s digital ads was also recognized this year with a Gold Pollie Award for best digital ad in a House Independent Expenditure Campaign by the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC). The Pollie Award recognized work by J&Z Strategies for DMFI PAC in the 2022 primary to help elect Democratic Congressman Robert Garcia in California’s 42nd District.

This year’s Reed Award comes on the heels of last year’s win when DMFI PAC received the Reed Award for “Best Bare-Knuckled Street Fight Victory,” recognizing DMFI PAC’s work in “Overcoming a 35-Point Deficit to Upset a Far-Left Icon,” Nina Turner, during Rep. Shontel Brown’s first congressional primary campaign.

During the 2022 Midterm Election, DMFI PAC helped bring 21 brand-new pro-Israel Democrats to the 118th Congress — with over 80% of its endorsed candidates winning their races — and helped defeat anti-Israel candidates. DMFI PAC and its affiliates raised over $12.4 million during the cycle to support pro-Israel Democrats with some 77% of those dollars supporting candidates of color.
