DMFI PAC today announced two new efforts to assist its endorsees in Pennsylvania and Ohio, including a six-figure mail program supporting Lt. Governor John Fetterman’s Senate campaign and a six-figure digital ad buy supporting State Rep. Emilia Sykes in Ohio’s 13th District. Both efforts will target swing voters and highlight their Republican opponents’ extreme opposition to women’s reproductive rights.

“John Fetterman is a proud pro-Israel progressive with deep roots in the Keystone State and a strong connection to hard-working Pennsylvanians,” said DMFI PAC Chairman Mark Mellman. “Unlike his out-of-touch, carpetbagger Republican opponent, Lt. Gov. Fetterman will work to increase incomes and decrease costs for all Pennsylvanians — and fight for women’s freedom to make their own decisions about abortion.”

Last spring, Lt. Gov. Fetterman’s Republican opponent, Mehmet Oz, was recorded calling abortion at any stage “murder” and has said he doesn’t support any federal rules limiting state laws on abortion, which could lead to complete bans in states like Pennsylvania where access to reproductive health care is currently legal.

Following his primary victory in May, DMFI PAC endorsed Lt. Gov. John Fetterman as a proven fighter to reduce economic inequality, reform our criminal justice system, advocate for women’s rights, and support a strong U.S.-Israel relationship.

In OH-13, DMFI PAC is airing a new digital ad that highlights Republican House candidate Madison Gesiotto Gilbert’s extreme views on abortion rights. In June, Gilbert called the Supreme Court’s decision to take away abortion rights “one of the greatest legal and moral wins … in the history of the United States.” She called Ohio’s “heartbeat bill,” which completely bans abortions without exceptions for rape or incest, “the right direction in Ohio.”

Last month, DMFI PAC endorsed Ohio State Representative Emilia Sykes, having previously endorsed her primary campaign in April. With a Certificate in Family Law and a Master of Public Health, State Rep. Sykes has devoted herself to passing domestic violence legislation and improving the lives of Ohio’s working families.

“Emilia Sykes has proven to be a fierce advocate for her constituents and will be a champion for Democratic values in Congress, including women’s rights, affordable health care, and a strong, mutually beneficial U.S.-Israel relationship,” said DMFI PAC Chairman Mark Mellman. “By contrast, Sykes’ opponent, Madison Gesiotto Gilbert, a former aide and ardent acolyte of Donald Trump, would join the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert as one of the most extreme, far-right members of Congress.”

“Ohioans need a representative who is willing to forge bipartisan consensus and find commonsense solutions,” added Mellman.

The six-figure ad buy will run on digital and streaming platforms in the district and target swing voters.

These independent expenditures are in addition to DMFI PAC’s previously announced six-figure ad buy supporting Congresswoman Elaine Luria (VA-02).
