DMFI PAC today announced an ad campaign highlighting Congressman Jamaal Bowman’s lies to and attacks on his constituents.
Congressman Bowman admitted to lying about his membership in the anti-Israel Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) because he thought it would help him politically.
The Congressman also attacked his own constituents, falsely charging “everyone” in his district with dehumanizing an entire people.
“Congressman Bowman’s admission of having lied to get re-elected is a sad commentary on his character. His hostility to the truth, it seems, is only matched by his hostility toward his own constituents — all of them — and toward President Biden,” said DMFI PAC Chairman Mark Mellman. “Mr. Bowman falsely accused ‘everyone in [his] district,’ as well as President Biden, of ‘completely dehumaniz[ing] the Palestinians.’
“It’s hard to imagine why Bowman’s constituents, or anyone, would vote for a candidate that lies to them and proceeds to attack them,” added Mellman. “Those constituents will decide on Tuesday whether that’s the kind of congressman they want.”
The digital ad, “A Politician,” is running on digital platforms targeting voters in New York’s 16th Congressional district.
