The poll, conducted days after the ceasefire deal was announced, finds Democrats credit the U.S. relationship with Israel as playing an important role in getting the peace plan

Today, DMFI PAC released the findings of a comprehensive new poll commissioned to gauge Democratic attitudes toward the ceasefire and peace plan between Israel and Hamas. Conducted by The Mellman Group, this survey offers valuable insights into the perspectives of Democratic voters in the United States.

“It’s easy to get lost in false narratives, but the facts are clear — most Democrats remain supportive of the U.S.-Israel relationship and are widely supportive of the plan,” said DMFI PAC Board Chair Brian Romick. “This is an important moment, both for long term stability in the Middle East and for strengthening Israel’s standing among Democratic voters.”

According to the poll, almost three-quarters (73%) of Democrats favor the peace plan, with most of them (44%) strongly in favor.

A majority of Democrats believe the U.S. should keep its alliance with Israel, with 32% feeling strongly. This majority support holds across race, education and ideology.

This analysis is based on a national survey of 800 Democrats. Interviews were conducted October 15-26, 2025, with live interviewers calling landlines and cell phones, as well as text-to-online interviews. The margin of error is +/-4.9% overall at a 95% level of confidence.
