Building on a successful primary season during which DMFI PAC helped pro-Israel Democrats win 84% of the races where it endorsed, DMFI PAC today announced three additional endorsements ahead of New York State’s primary elections on August 23, 2022. Democratic Caucus Chair Representative Hakeem Jeffries; Deputy Whip of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and Second Vice Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Representative Adriano Espaillat; and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Representative Sean Patrick Maloney are distinguished and diverse Democratic leaders who are all deeply committed to the Democratic agenda — including a strong U.S.-Israel alliance.

“The three candidates endorsed today are outstanding leaders for New York who have consistently demonstrated a steadfast commitment to our Democratic values, including strengthening the United States’ alliance with Israel,” said DMFI PAC Chairman Mark Mellman. “What’s more, our primary record has made clear that supporting a strong U.S.-Israel relationship is good politics, in addition to being wise policy,” added Mellman.

“The relationship between the United States and Israel is a special one that is rooted in shared democratic values, an important strategic partnership in the Middle East and a commitment to a durable two-state solution with Israelis and Palestinians living side by side with security and prosperity,” said Democratic Caucus Chair Hakeem Jeffries. “I am grateful for the support of DMFI PAC and look forward to continuing to advance the unbreakable U.S.-Israel bond for the good of the Middle East and the world,” added Jeffries.

Today’s endorsements complement the PAC’s earlier primary endorsees in New York State, where DMFI PAC is supporting former Representative Max Rose and Congressman Ritchie Torres.

The PAC endorses Democratic candidates for federal office who reflect America’s diversity, work to advance the Biden-Harris agenda, and support a strong U.S.-Israel relationship. In the 2022 primaries, DMFI PAC spent more than $6 million to support pro-Israel Democrats. More than 75% of DMFI PAC IEs have helped candidates of color.
