DMFI PAC directed a successful independent expenditure campaign targeting pro-Israel voters.

Washington, D.C. (December 6, 2022) — Following the results of tonight’s runoff election in Georgia, DMFI PAC Chairman Mark Mellman released the following statement:

“DMFI PAC is thrilled to congratulate Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock on his re-election to a full term in the U.S. Senate. Voters in Georgia turned decidedly against the politics of division put forth by former President Trump’s handpicked candidate — whose dishonesty and inexperience made a mockery of the Republican Party — and instead chose in Sen. Warnock a man of conscience and conviction, who has consistently delivered on his commitments to his constituents, to the Biden-Harris agenda, and to the U.S.-Israel relationship.

“We also celebrate the historic nature of Sen. Warnock’s re-election as the first Black Democratic Senator re-elected to a full term by popular vote in the South, and we look forward to continuing to work with him for many years to come.”

DMFI PAC’s multifaceted independent expenditure campaign included ads directed to the pro-Israel community highlighting the senator’s strong voting record on Israel and his sharp condemnation of antisemitism. DMFI PAC made live GOTV phone calls, helping to drive turnout during early voting by targeting Democratic voters outside of the door-to-door canvassing universe who were at risk of not voting in the runoff. DMFI PAC encouraged its supporters to volunteer and phone bank with Georgia Democrats for Sen. Warnock, and DMFI PAC supporters donated directly to the Warnock campaign through its ActBlue candidate portals.

Senator Warnock signed on as an original cosponsor to the Israel Relations Normalization Act, which praised the Abraham Accords and made it U.S. policy to encourage other nations to develop friendly ties with Israel. Sen. Warnock also cosponsored the Stop Iranian Drones Act, requiring sanctions on anyone providing weapons to Iran — he has also clearly and forcefully stated his opposition to Iran ever obtaining nuclear weapons.

Senator Warnock is also a valued partner in the fight against rising antisemitism, sharply condemning the dangerous bigotry causing anxiety in the Jewish community in Georgia and across the country, as well as rightfully condemning the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement for its refusal to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist and its antisemitic overtones.

DMFI PAC and its affiliates finished the election cycle with more than 80% of their endorsed candidates winning their races, while helping bring some 20 new pro-Israel Democrats to the 118th Congress. During this cycle, DMFI PAC raised more than $1 million directly for pro-Israel candidates through its donation portals, while DMFI PAC and its affiliates raised over $11 million. 100% of those dollars supported pro-Israel Democrats and some 72% supported candidates of color.
